PROGRAMMED FI - works by injecting the appropriate amount of fuel into the cylinder, precisely calculated by the date received through hi - tech sensors in the engine that feeds the engine data and environmental conditions to a central computer system called the ECU - Electronic Control Unit. Based on the data received from the sensors, the ECU decides the quantity and timing of fuel to be injected through the fuel injector. Thus the PROGRAMMED FI system offers excellent drivability, optimum fuel efficiency, lower emission and instant start even in extreme ambient temperature conditions and at higher altitudes.
